    (English) CO2 as a working fluid has been applied to several industrial processes that include ethanol production, fertilizer production, hydrogen refinery and natural gas processing. Compared to other working fluids, CO2 fluid is quite benign to the environment; it is economically cheap; non-flammable; abundant; and has great heat transfer characteristics.

    • CO2 when in Liquid or super-critical state is a solvent that can be modified by varying the temperature and pressure. Because Its properties are a strong function of temperature and pressure,  CO2 Liquid is considered a tunable solvent and can be injected into gas reservoirs to where viscosity and density are reduced, resulting in high pressures that push Natural gas from underground pours to designated surfaces. CO2 Liquid has commercially been used in enhance gas recovery due to its efficient subsurface storage ability.
    • What is Supercritical CO2 extraction and what are its industrial applications? Supercritical CO2  extraction is a commonly used method to separate various components from plants due to it producing  a pure, clean, and safe product.  When Carbon dioxide reaches a supercritical state at 1071 psi and 31.1°C, its molecules transition into a state where it has both properties of liquid and gas. Because of these CO2characteristics, commercial uses can include the following:
          1. Extraction of botanical raw materials that can be used as ingredients for Food & flavor, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
          2. Purification of materials that can used in the production of medical devices.
